I loved the atmosphere here! It's essentially a combination of Studio Ghibli + EDM/upbeat music. There's a lot of Spirited Away references/wall art here so that is a lot of fun if you're a fan. We came during lunch and for lunch, you can essentially choose from 4 rice bowl options (1 being vegetarian) or a sushi combo option (where you pick 2 different rolls). There's also a lunch special. There's also some sides offered as well, like edamame. This is definitely a great place to check out if you want a chill, casual place to eat.

First off this place is a little confusing to find if you dont know the area well. We love handrolls and honestly the size of the handrolls were perfect with the rice and fish ratio being good too. The crispy rice was okay i felt like the rice wasn't seasoned right and it seemed not crispy enough, but the spicy albacore on top was really good. I felt like everything was just okay and im giving the four stars for the service but honestly the yellowtail collar was by far my favorite thing here. It was just the right amount of saltiness and was grilled perfectly. I love hama kama and when we bit in to it wow it was dang good.

My cravings for sushi has recently become overbearing (bun in the oven? I think not!). Now with social distancing and stay at home orders, I just can't seem to shake it! I desperately searched for and options close to my job in northeast Dallas and Sushi de Handroll came highly suggested. The Premium Bento Box is an absolute must! Fried chicken, steak skewers, rice, salad, edamame, miso soup, gyoza dumplings, California roll, a spring roll, blah, blah blah, and so much more, I could so go on! All of that only for an Andrew Jackson...I'll save some of you some time....You can feed 2 people an exquisite, and fresh meal for only $20! The Crawfish Lover roll piqued my interest right in time for good ol' crawfish season; your basic roll stuffed and topped with lightly fired crawfish then drizzled in a delicious creamy spicy mayo. Curbside service is available and 20% off is offered to first time orders! Very pleasant and appreciative staff; I really don't know who was happier to see who! I anticipate my next visit and will hopefully be able to dine-in. I hope this business and all the other businesses will be able to survive this! Support local businesses! You have my vote Sushi de Handroll!

This place is a hidden gem and everything I ate there was extremely delicious! I came during lunch on a Wednesday and it was a little slow but got a lot of attention and recommendations from the staff. They suggested the salmon belly nigiri one seared and the other not. The fish was very fresh and I loved the textural differences between the lightly cooked and raw options. I also had a lunch bento that was extremely filling and the location is very cute and conveniently located next to electric car charging. I loved this place and would 100% recommend it!

This was the first of three bookmarks I got to in my two days in Dallas, so that in itself is exciting! Eric R. and I came here for lunch on Friday. We had intended on arriving in Dallas later but the weather was deemed ominous so we left Austin at 8:00 AM and made it to Dallas before lunch time. Sushi de Handroll is hiding behind the building where Snooze is in this center so you can go around the right side of snooze or the left side of the building and around the back. We sat down at a booth, but did not get menus or approached by anyone for awhile. Eric R. flagged down a chef in the middle who took our drink and food orders. There were a lot of specials that we thought were available but because of the weather, the usual Friday shipment did not come, so they were out of things that they had not marked out on the specials menu or the specials board on the wall. I started with iced green tea, and then ordered the three temaki lunch set with salmon skin, salmon avocado, and negihama. I also ordered the uni handroll special but they were out of uni. Eric R. ordered the four handroll set with spicy tuna, ikura, salmon avocado, and negihama. He also ordered the Japanese scallop temaki special, but they were also sold out of the scallop. The handrolls were served one at a time to ensure crispness of seaweed, a definite bonus. I enjoyed everything I ate, but we were still hungry. One item I would have ordered was the Spanish mackerel (aji) pressed sushi, but it was 8 pieces and Eric R. would not eat any. There was a salmon belly nigiri special, so I ordered two orders of that and it was confirmed in stock. We were brought six pieces, two of which were seared with a blowtorch. The chef who took our order gave these to us on the house for being out of the specials we tried to order. This is a very kind gesture. The searing brought out the delicious fatty-ness of the salmon belly. We left comfortably full in our bellies. The chef did talk to us for awhile - she is from Japan originally. She suggested we return on our next visit on a Friday when hopefully the fresh shipments will arrive and not face any weather-related challenges. Itadakimasu!
